EASTON, Pa. — An iconic Lehigh Valley soda company will team up with a pair of local entertainment destinations to become an official and exclusive soft drink and beverage supplier for both.
Jaindl Companies, owner of the Allentown-based A-Treat, announced an exclusive partnership with HangDog Outdoor Adventure and Lehigh Valley Grand Prix, “two of the area’s premier adrenaline entertainment destinations” Wednesday.
- A-Treat sodas will partner with HangDog obstacle course and Lehigh Valley Grand Prix go-kart racing
- Both entertainment destinations will offer classic varieties of the sodas, and HangDog will offer slushies made from them, too

According to a release, the partnership is designed to align the A-Treat brand with "the excitement, energy and fun associated with" HangDog, a massive obstacle course and ziplining center in Easton, and Lehigh Valley Grand Prix, an indoor go-kart racing track.

Visitors at both destinations can now get classic A-Treat flavors such as Cream Soda, Sarsaparilla, Orange Cream and other unique varieties such as Big Blue.
'A natural fit'
In the release, third-generation Jaindl Companies President David Jaindl excitedly announced the news, combining a classic Lehigh Valley brand with the entertainment destinations.

HangDog and Lehigh Valley Grand Prix owner Mike McCreary said in the release he was looking forward to joining forces with the beverage company.

According to McCreary, visitors at HangDog will be able to get A-Treat sodas as slushies, too.

Both destinations open
HangDog, which features 115 obstacles, two ziplines, a free-fall drop, live music, a bar featuring house-brewed beers and specialty foods opened just last week and, weather permitting, expects to stay open into November.
Hours are 2-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 2-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.Sunday.
Lehigh Valley Grand Prix offers go-kart racing for children and adults, ax throwing and its Octane bar.
The Grand Prix is open 2-10 p.m. Mondays and Fridays, 2-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and noon-7 p.m. Sundays.
A-Treat began in 1918, when Joe and Jack Egizio created and began producing the sodas in a three-car garage in downtown Allentown. For 83 years, the company mixed and bottled its beverages at its Union Boulevard location in Allentown.
Following a short absence, the company was picked up by Jaindl Companies, returning to the shelves in September of 2015.
