WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Right in our own back yard. Sweet Mocha was thrown out of a car, emaciated, with a skin infection, smelling horrible. And terrified.
We rarely post all of our dogs and why they are here. All shelters see the same things, but some just need to be shared.
Some just need to be a reminder of what is happening out there to helpless animals.
Mocha has already had a medicated bath, some food and snacks and water, and a warm bed with toys. She is already loved by the few folks who have met her in the short two hours she was with us.
Say a little prayer for Mocha and that whoever did this to her never gets another animal.
Talk to people who are looking to get an animal and let them know the commitment, the care, and the money it takes to care for pets. We know that not everyone will listen but maybe some will.
And if you see something, say something. And keep saying something.
Mocha’s happy ending? The officer who picked her up fell in love with her and came back to adopt her.
Now that’s a happily ever after!
