Workers with the Lehigh County Coroner's Office prepare to load a body into a vehicle Tuesday, May 28, near the Hamilton Street Bridge in Allentown.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The body found Tuesday near Hamilton Street Bridge belonged to a 60-year-old Allentown man, according to the Lehigh County coroner.

Scott. L. Oswald was pronounced dead at 10:23 a.m. Tuesday after his body was found in an area along the Jordan Creek, which runs under the bridge, Coroner Daniel Buglio said in a news release.

Oswald died of a drug overdose, Buglio said. He ruled the death an accident.

Allentown firefighters, paramedics and police worked for more than an hour Tuesday morning near the intersection of Fourth and Hamilton streets to recover Oswald’s body.
