Comedy to Break the Stigma will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Civic Theater of Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Laughter might not seem appropriate to a subject as serious as suicide, but a comedy show coming to the Lehigh Valley is using precisely that to try to take away that stigma.

Chris Nee’s Comedy to Break the Stigma will be performed at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Civic Theatre of Allentown, 527 N. 19th St.

Tickets, at $35 for general admission, are available on the ticket site whennow.com. Doors and a limited cash bar will open at 7 p.m.

The show will be headlined by Nee, a Philadelphia native who has performed at Philly's former Trocadero Theatre, Helium Comedy Club and Wisecrackers Comedy Club in Allentown, and who has opened for national touring comedy acts.

Also on the bill will be Lehigh Valley favorite Tyler Rothrock of Nazareth, Jake Mattera, Gracie Canaan, Albert Davis, Rachel Peters, Steve Bikel and John Amendolia.
