ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A curious and colorful character who has taught preschoolers on YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max and more, is coming to the Allentown Fair grandstand.
Blippi, whose energetic and educational antics have made him a global sensation, will bring his live show Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour to the fair on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Tickets, at $30 each, will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Tuesday online at the Allentown Fair website, Ticketmaster.com and the fair’s box office.Allentown Fair news release

Special box office hours will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, May 17. The fair box office is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. every Thursday.
All show tickets bought in advance include admission into the fair.
The 172nd fair will run Aug. 28-Sept. 2 this year.
A release from the fair said of Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour, "Will there be monster trucks, excavators and garbage trucks galore? You bet!
"So get ready to shake those wiggles out and OJ Twist your way through this brand-new musical party!"
A worldwide phenomenon
Blippi inspires curiosity in children by creating content and experiences that are relatable, accessible and make learning fun. He has attracted more than 1 billion monthly views across all platforms.
Blippi was created by Stevin John, who posted the first episode featuring the character, featuring the orange-and-blue beanie, suspenders and bowtie-wearing character with tractors.
But Blippi caught far more attention starting in 2020, when he began being distributed on other platforms by Moonbug Entertainment.
Blippi now is available in more than 20 languages, including American Sign Language, and is distributed by more than 30 global broadcast and streaming partners.
Blippi’s buddies Meekah and Juca have spun off into their own shows, and he releases popular music tracks and has in-demand toys available at major retailers.
Blippi has expanded to be portrayed by other actors in live presentations.
Blippi The World Tour appeared at Easton's State Theatre in March 2023.
Tickets remain available for this year’s previously announced Allentown Fair headliners, Heart and Cheap Trick on Aug. 28; Brad Paisley with special guest George Birge on Aug. 30; Pentatonix on Aug. 31; and Jeff Dunham on Sept. 1.
The fair is also offering discount ride tickets, half price fair admission, and prepaid premium concert parking.
